Markings: The left side of the action is marked, “Dumoulin Herstal S.A.. Left side of the barrel is marked “280 Ack Imp”. Top of the barrel is marked “E.R. Shaw”. Bottom hinged floor plate and trigger guard have floral engraving.
Sights / Optics: The top of the receiver is notched and drilled for scope rings. 2 quick detach rings with floral engraving are seated atop the receiver.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. Some minor fouling. It is the opinion of this writer that the bore rates 9.5/10
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece monte carlo style walnut, with sharp checkering, and raised cheek piece. The front of the stock has a black cap, and the pistol grip sports a metal ring cap with floral engraving, and a walnut center. On both the front and the rear of the stock are blued sling swivel studs. There are no cracks or chips in the stock, and the finish is in Excellent condition.
Overall Condition: This receiver retains about 99% of its metal finish. The threads of the action are undamaged.The screw heads are sharp and show no signs of tool marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

The action is smooth and precise, operating from an internal 5-round magazine. The walnut Monte Carlo stock sports sharp checkering, a raised cheekpiece, and capped forend, with no chips or cracks. The metal retains 99% of its deep blue finish with crisp edges and sharp screw heads, showing only the most minor signs of handling. The bore is bright and sharp with minimal fouling—rating a 9.5/10 in this writer’s opinion. Elegant and powerful, this Dumoulin-action .280 AI rifle offers the best of both worlds: classic European gunmaking and the ballistic performance of a modernized American wildcat.
