Markings: Left side of the receiver is marked “BEFORE HANDLING RIFLE READ MANUAL FROM: BARRET MANUFACTURING, INC. / MURFREESBORO, TN. U.S.A.” with “CAL..416 / MODEL 82A1 / SER. 25557 / PAT. 4677897”. “SAFE” and “FIRE” are marked next to the safety selector on the left side of the receiver. “SAFE” and “FIRE” marked on the right side of the receiver. The barrel at the muzzle is marked “.416 CAL BARREL”.
Barrel Length: 29” Fluted with a 3 baffle brake.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a flip up blade that integrates into the top mounted picatinny rail. The rear sight is a flip up iron peep style aperture with elevation markings for 100 to 1500 meters. It has a 24” picatinny rail for the mounting of optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has an A2 style ar15 compatible pistol grip, rubber butt pad, rear mounted handle, carrying handle, and a retractable bipod that can be detached from the receiver. The LOP measures 15” from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt pad. The rubber is soft, the pistol grip has some minor wear. Overall the Stock and grip are in Very Good Condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: This rifle includes Two x 10rd original magazines in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. There is no fouling in the grooves. The feed ramp is smooth and shiny. This rifle has been fired very little. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The rifle shows little wear and some very minor scattered marks. However the gray finish has turned a reddish brown color with patina in many areas. The best example of this discoloration can be viewed on the comb/cheek rest area of the rifle. There is some surface rust forming in some of the recesses again most notably in the small screw heads of the rear sight. The muzzle device is mostly clean and there is some dust in the recesses. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle is in Very Good condition and again the bore appears to have been fired very little if at all outside of testing.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

This example Chambered in the powerful 416 Barrett renowned for its long-range capabilities with a flatter trajectory and higher velocity than the larger 50 BMG. The 82A1 was originally Introduced in the 1980s, the Barrett 82A1 quickly gained a reputation for its reliability, and devastating firepower. The rifle features a large, robust design, with an overall length of around 57 inches and a weight of approximately 30 pounds, making it a hefty but stable platform for long-range shooting. The 29-inch barrel is fluted to reduce weight and improve heat dissipation, and it is fitted with a highly effective muzzle brake to mitigate the significant recoil.
