Markings: The top of the receiver is marked with a bullet-shaped trademark stamp. The right side of the receiver is marked with “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION / WORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS, U.S.A.”. The left side of the receiver is marked with “THOMPSON SEMI-AUTOMATIC CARBINE / CALIBER .45MI”, “NO.KC7892”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade banded around a boss at the muzzle. The rear sight is a fixed aperture leaf with a rectangular notch in the top and protective ears.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is walnut with finger grooved handguard, smooth pistol grip with finger grooves, and buttstock with through bolt, sling swivel in the belly and metal buttplate. The LOP is 17.25” from front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rate in Excellent overall condition There are no chips or cracks.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 99% of its original finish. There are some light scratches on the sides of the receiver but mostly on the left side. The rest of the rifle remains very clean and mostly free from any light scratches. The screw heads are sharp and serviceable. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle rates in about Excellent overall condition.
