Action Type: Bolt action rifle fed by detachable double stack magazines.
Markings: The ride side of the barrel “NP 7-62X51MM LP/99”. The bottom of the barrel “8239”. The left side of the action is marked “ACCURACY INTERNATIONAL ENGLAND”. The right side of the action is marked “99 AW 5420”. The bolt is marked “1922”. The muzzle device is marked “3722”.
Barrel Length: 26″ threaded barrel, 28″ with the two baffle muzzle brake. The barrel appears to be threaded to M18 1.5.
Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver has a dovetail cut for the included scope mount with 30mm rings.
Stock Configuration &; Condition: The stock is an AI chassis system with thumbhole consisting of polymer side scales attached to a fully bedded alloy chassis. The stock features a forend with QD socket for the included bi pod, thumbhole grip, bag rider, 5 sling attachment points and adjustable length of pull via spacers, and rubber butt pad. This stock also accepts the AICS double stack short action magazines. The current LOP is 13.5″ with the installed spacers. The rifle weighs 12lbs 9oz. The polymer areas show some minor handling throughout. The butt pad is pliable showing only barely visible wear. The bottom of the spacers have some scuffs. The forend has a small lateral scratch on the bottom. A couple of the scale screws show some developing surface rust freckling. There are no cracks or chips. Overall this stock is in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. The feed ramps are smooth showing some minor copper fouling. The muzzle device shows minor fouling from use. The bore does show some very minor fouling present. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.25/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The barrel shows a few scattered very minor marks. Near the muzzle there is some rub wear from the muzzle device that is concealed when assembled; this is the majority of the finish loss. The bolt and action show some barely visible rub wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards. This rifle has an adjustable two stage trigger with an amazing break, and a bolt mounted safety. This action is as smooth as glass.
Box, Paperwork &; Accessories: This rifle includes 4x 10 round double stack double feed AI magazines in Very Good+ condition. The rifle includes a Parker Hale bi-pod, LOP spacers, cleaning rod with bore guide and metal case with foam.
Our Assessment: This Accuracy International Arctic Warfare is one of the most respected military sniper rifles ever produced, chambered here in .308 Winchester with a 26″ barrel. The rifle earned its “Arctic Warfare” name from its development for extreme cold-weather military use, incorporating a specialized bolt and action design for reliable operation in sub-zero environments. Built on Accuracy International’s bombproof action and housed in the original AICS thumbhole stock, this platform became the foundation for numerous military sniper systems worldwide.
This example is fitted with the classic Parker Hale bipod mounted via the quick-detach interface integrated into the stock and features a two-baffle AI muzzle brake to reduce recoil. The outstanding two-stage trigger is crisp, predictable, and widely regarded as one of the finest factory triggers ever installed on a combat bolt action rifle.
