Our Assessment: This is a Sako Model L46 rifle customized with a Winchester Model 70 .22 Hornet barrel, a J.W. Fecker scope and a leather sling. It is in Very Good condition with about 93% of its metal finish, a great bore, and a nice stock. Introduced in 1930, the .22 Hornet cartridge was ahead of its time as a center-fire, small caliber, high velocity cartridge. The cartridge is useful for small game and is considered by some to be ideal for Turkey hunting. This rifle ought to interest Sako, Winchester and Fecker collectors and should make a nice little shooter. Please see our photos and good luck!
