Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: In the buttstocks storage compartment is a cleaning kit including oil and grease container. The handle, brush and lubricant container appear in Fine condition. We could not remove the rod segments and their canvas case without damaging the canvas case which already has the top flap torn off (included in the compartment). Please note, there is no magazine included.
Our Assessment: This Federal Ordnance Inc. model M14A is a civilian version of an M14 made with GI parts. This one is impressive as it is in Fine-plus condition and still has its cleaning kit stored away in the buttstock. The bore is strong & bright and the parkerized finish is in great shape. This M1A should turn heads at the range and as it is made with GI parts, it is probably going to be right up there with the Springfield versions. Please see our photos and good luck!
