The styrofoam inserts show little wear with discoloration from oil in some areas, in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: The Diamondback is essentially a shorter framed Python both in the cylinder and grip frame, sharing similar aesthetic dynamics and is no less striking in appearance and mechanics than its predecessor. This revolver retains about 97% of its finish in stunning condition, sporting a bright, sharp bore and just-less-than perfect stocks. The ‘positive lock’ action provides SOLID cylinder lockup, with smooth double and single action trigger pulls. Those familiar with the Python line understand the accuracy these revolvers are capable of, this one should prove to be no different but in its high condition and with its original box it will probably be a collector’s piece at the end of the auction. Please see our pictures and good luck!
