Our Assessment: This is a vintage pre-war Winchester Model 42 which someone obviously loved dearly. It has been refinished and fitted with a Simmons ventilated barrel rib and gorgeous checkered walnut stocks. This looks like a gun that served faithfully in the field for decades and was then restored and upgraded. It is in about Fine condition with 94% of its finish remaining, some light operational wear, a good bore and the aforementioned stocks which are well worth taking the time to look at. This shotgun would be at home in any collection and should catch some eyes at the range. Please see our photos and good luck!
