Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “9 TACTICL Smith & Wesson / SPRINGFIELD, MA USA” and with the S&W monogram logo. The left side of the frame is marked “MOD 3913TSW / TDS5335”. The barrel is marked “9MM / PARABELLUM”. The bottom of the slide and the rear of the grip frame are marked with the same assembly number, “1391”. The grips are marked “Smith & Wesson” and with the monogram logo on either side.
Barrel Length: 3 1/2”
Sights / Optics: This pistol is mounted with a 2 dot square notched Novak Lo-Mount Carry rear sight and one white dot blade front sight. Both are mounted in dovetail slots, with the rear sight having a set screw for reinforcement.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black checkered waraparound grips with straight backstrap marked “Smith & Wesson” and with the “S&W” logo on each side. The checkering is sharp, with no notable wear or damage. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage. The frontstrap checkering is sharp, the pin heads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have did not fire this pistol.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes a blue plastic case with matching end label, wax paper, Master trigger lock and an assortment of factory paperwork. The case has light wear from handling and storage and is in Fine condition. This pistol does not come with a magazine.
Our Assessment: With a bewildering array of “tactical” pistols on the market today, this pistol is still a fantastic choice. It is single-stack, making it thin for concealed carry, long enough for a full grip and 8-round magazine capacity, yet still compact and handy, no-snag sights and bobbed hammer, and accessory rail for a light, laser or light/laser combination. It is chambered for 9mm, the least expensive and most available defensive cartridge there is. This pistol comes with just about everything it would have if purchased new except for magazines and is equally ready to be put away in a collection to retain its Excellent condition or put in a holster for everyday carry (after getting a couple of magazines, of course).
