Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered wood with a deep red color. The buttpad is starting to deteriorate and hard. This is something that could be replaced. There is a light hairline crack at the wrist. It may not show up very well in the photos, we will do our best to show you. It is very light and the stock is still strong to the receiver. It is easily overlooked, but notable for the overall condition. The checkering is still factory sharp. There are a few minor nicks and dings to the stock. The overall fit and finish of the stock is excellent if it were not for the hairline crack at the wrist. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the Buttpad. The Drop at Comb is roughly 1 3/8” and the Drop at Heel is roughly 2 1/8”. The stocks rate in about Good overall condition considering the hairline crack, would otherwise be Excellent.

Type of Finish: Blue

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light operational wear to the parts from normal operation, assembly and disassembly. The Top latch as some light patches of surface erosion / light pitting. There is another small patch of erosion just in front of the trigger guard on the underside of the receiver as well. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions Correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None

Our Assessment: The Kreighoff 32 needs no introduction…. It is the Rolex or Rolls-Royce of the shooting world. It is the gun that just about every shooter wants to add to the safe or arsenal for the range. The gun can literally take thousands of rounds. Serious shooters trust these guns to take the abuse of serious competition. The light crack in the wrist is easily overlooked because the stock is still strong to the receiver. The buttpad is hard, but an easily replaced part. This shotgun still retains a lot of the original finish. If I was a bidder on this gun the flaws to the stock are easily overlooked, because I would pick out my own wood and have the gun fit to me anyway… The condition of the metal parts are more important to me.
