Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with an un-marked 16 round magazine (17 fit but it was far too tight to reliably feed), the base plate is serrated plastic, with a star. Our Assessment: This is NOT your grandpa’s 1911, this is your new 2011. With similar controls even your Grandpa could pick this up and safely run the next 3 Gun Competition with limited training (of course you should never shoot a gun until you are fluent with the safe handling). With a slightly wider, polymer frame you can now cram an appropriate 16 Rounds of .40 S&W, be for the range or home defense. The lines are beautiful along with the fit and finish. These pistols are the best kept secrets, race ready out of the box. I don’t know what you are waiting for? Trade in that old 1911 your Grandpa gave you for one of these if you are a serious shooter. There is going to be some competition on this gun, CA OK!
