Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The original box is provided along with paperwork as follows: the original test target with pistol serial number stated, dated 9/17/85 showing six hits about 2” apart at 50m (WOW!), a Sig patch, a safety warning brochure, two Sig P210 handling instructions, one English the other Swiss. The box has a foam liner top and bottom which has begun to deteriorate with age. The box exterior is marked “Sig” in gold on the top, and has a side label that reads “340153”. The box is in very good condition with no tears or tatters and just light marking from storage and handling.
Our Assessment: The SIG P210 is a single-action pistol, with a magazine capacity of eight rounds of 9 mm, 7.65 mm, or .22 Long Rifle (.22 LR). It is a licensed development from French-Swiss designer Charles Gabriel Petter’s Modèle 1935 pistol. It has a frame-mounted manual safety that blocks the trigger and a magazine disconnecter safety that blocks the trigger when the magazine is removed. It has a 120 mm high quality barrel (150 mm in the 210-5 variant) and the pistol is very durable and reliable. The slide and frame are machined from blocks of steel, which makes production rather costly compared to recent pistol designs, manufactured of pressings and welds.
This is probably the finest production handgun ever built. The quality is Swiss superb, the pistol is in Excellent condition, and it is found in its original box with original paperwork. The test target is nothing short of amazing. If you want and can afford the best of the best – this is the Ferrari of handguns (unless there is something better than a Ferrari).
