Overall Condition:  This gun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows just minor wear/use from slight handling. The screw heads are in good condition and show minor use. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about excellent condition. You really could not expect to find a higher condition gun than this. These  guns were built to shoot, and shooting leads to wear. This one was obviously cared for and only lightly shot.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly. We did not test fire this gun. This gun has been prepared by F. Bob Chow, see our assessment below. The inner rails and  all bearing surfaces have been polished and fitted, the mainspring housing is flat, the trigger has been smoothed and is  less than 1 lb, there is a national match barrel, the front grip strap has been stipled. Our consigner states that with 185 grain semi wad-cutter bullets, you can keep putting them in the same hole out to 25+ yards. The work from Bob Chow is legendary and is considered the highest level of accuracy work obtainable throughout the 70’s and 80’s and even to this day.

Box & Accessories:  The original Colt box with end flap matching the serial number of this gun is included. A copy of the Bob Chow receipt for work done on this gun is included. Everything included is photographed.

Our Assessment:  This gun has been amazingly prepared by F. Bob Chow, there is a copy of the receipt for this gun from Bob Cow in 1975 that shows ; Bo-Mar ramp, magazine, flat housing, grips, stipple (light), install sights, ejector, full accuracy work. This is a seldom encountered chance to obtain an F.Bob Chow prepared .45 in its original box in excellent condition with a copy of the original receipt. If you add just one more gun to your collection this should be it.!!!!!!!!
