Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, “Volquartsen and “VC” for Volquartsen Customs. The left side of the barrel is marked “”VC” and “22 WRM”. The right side of the receiver is marked “Carroll, IA”. The bottom of the trigger guard is marked “VC”. The recoil pad is marked “CUSTOM / VOLQUATRSEN”.

Barrel Length: Approximately 16 3/4 inches. 18 3/4 inches to the end of the threaded muzzle break.

Sights / Optics: There are no iron sights as this rifle was meant to be used with a scope. The receiver is topped with 6 ¼ inches of integral Picatinny rail.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The laminate thumbhole stock is set up for a right handed shooter. It has a raised cheek piece, floating beavertail forearm and a soft rubber recoil pad. The inside of the grip and base of the grip show light scrapes. The sides of the stock show light scuffs. The LOP measures 15 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Stainless with Carbon fiber wrapped barrel.

Bore Condition: The bore is shines and the rifling is crisp. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The muzzle break shows a few small light scratches. The left side of the receiver shows a couple of small light scratches. There are small scrapes above the ejection port. The screw heads are intact. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp, all mechanics glide with fluidity. This rifle takes Ruger 10/22 Magnum magazines. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Volquartsen Lightweight 22 WMR is an impressive looking rifle that should be capable of tremendous accuracy. It is chambered in .22 Magnum so it will shoot farther, faster and flatter than any .22 LR. The carbon fiber, stainless steel and laminate wood look great together. This is a factory honed rifle from one of the best in the business that will turn heads at the range.
