Our Assessment: > This is a Walther Model PPK made in 1966 before they enlarged the pistol to the PPK/S to get around the restrictions of the 1968 Gun Control Act. This is a great looking blued pistol set-off with front plastic grips and a brown finger extension magazine. It is in Excellent condition with no marks in the metal that we could find. There are a few tiny marks in the grips, which have sharp checkering. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. You won’t find a pre-1968 PPK in nicer condition than this one, and the pre-1968 Walthers are all made better than those made later by Interams and Smith & Wesson. It will make someone a great carry gun with a double action pull on the first shot, and can also be used for home protection. It is perfect for women and those with small hands. Walther’s are known for their reliability, and this should give someone decades of shooting fun.
