Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN JAPAN”, the right side is marked “BROWNING AUTO 5 / INVECTOR SPECIAL STEEL 16 GA SHELLS-2 ¾”-26” / BROWNINGS PATENTS”, the left side of the receiver is marked “SWEET SIXTEEN” in banner and “M.OISHI”, the right is marked “DUCKS UNLIMITED” in scroll, the bottom has the serial number, the bottom of the trigger guard has a gold-colored duck head. The receiver is finely engraved and darkened to highlight details, depicting water fowl, nature scenes, scroll engraving and the Ducks Unlimited logo. The recoil pad is marked “Browning”. The included hard case has Ducks Unlimited’s logo. The barrel has a silver colored sticker regarding NOT shooting the shotgun without an Invector choke installed, as a side note, the shotgun is not bored for Invector Plus chokes.

Choke: The barrel is threaded for Invector chokes and comes with one Full, one Improved Cylinder and one Modified choke.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a steel bead, screwed into the ventilated; the top of the rib is milled in a wave-like pattern for glare reduction; the top of the receiver is serrated for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are gloss finished walnut stocks. The forend has wrap around checkering and finger grooves on the flanks; the stock shows scattered handling marks with a few compressed checkers. The butt stock has a rounded pistol grip with flanked checkering and a pinched, strait comb; the stock shows moderate depth compression marks on the underside of the wrist and belly, with some areas of compressed checkers. The right flank shows a long moderate depth scuff that didn’t penetrate the finish. The LOP measures 14 1/8” from the front of the gold-colored trigger to the back of the black rubber recoil pad. The pad has a black spacer, the items only show minor scuff marks. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some specks of surface oxidation on the receiver with some wear marks and more light dots of oxidation on the upper tang. The other metal surfaces only show minor, shallow scuffs. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The action locks up tight and the mechanics respond with reassuring rigidity. The shotgun is very balanced and provides a quick point of aim. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a brown Ducks Unlimited factory hard case, two keys in an unopened Ducks Unlimited envelope, three chokes, two of which come in Invector plastic tubes, a choke wrench and a factory owner’s manual (in plastic bag). The hard case has assorted storage and handling marks, the other accessories are in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: This is a well balanced offering between Japan’s Miroku / Browning factory and Ducks Unlimited, including three chokes, a factory hard case, two keys, choke wrench and owner’s manual. The shotgun is in Fine condition with some scattered spots of light surface oxidation and minor wear. The bore is bright with no erosion and the stocks only show minor handling marks. This limited edition shotgun can fulfill an array of tasks while looking damn sexy in the meantime. If you’re looking for a nice hunting shotgun that has engraving designed by a legend, this is the one.
