Our Assessment: Widley has been in and out of business a few times since their creation, but the pistols were always brought back by popular demand. Well constructed with an ingenious gas operation system that helps tame the custom .475 Widley Magnum round. From Wikipedia: “The .475 Wildey Magnum was designed to be a hunting round. Cases are formed from .284 Winchester brass with the neck opened to take a .475″ bullet, and the length is the same as the .45 Winchester Magnum. Velocity at 100 yards is equivalent to the muzzle velocity of the .44 Magnum.[1][2][3][4]” The pistol has some minor cosmetic damages in the metal finish, none of which are deep or intrusive to operation, please see our photographs. With a double action trigger pull, the pistol can be decocked and features a magazine disconnect safety. Two 7-round magazines and the factory box are included. Rarely do “old model” (Blue Book of Gun Values) go up for sale and even more rarely do you find one in Excellent condition. Please see our photographs and good luck!
