Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “LJUTIC” The underside of the receiver is marked “1250”. The underside of the barrel is marked “43 S24 732”. The forward facing chamber shroud is also marked “43”.

Choke: Currently a Modified Briley choke is installed. A Full and Light Full Choke are also included along with a Choke wrench.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a white bead on a tall ventilated trap rib
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are Checkered walnut. The forend has two repaired cracks on the belly. The buttstock is a Pneumatic recoil absorbing stock. The underside of the outer sleeve has a couple of light cracks. There are many light compression marks on both the forend and buttstock. The LOP measures 15” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The recoil pad is starting to deteriorate. The stocks rate in about Very Good to Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is Bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 88% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows Thinning to the bare metal on the rear of the receiver, barrel release, and around the trigger guard The barrel shows light wear. The screw heads are Sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with a snap cap, the additional chokes described above which are housed in a plastic case, a choke wrench, and Phillips head screwdriver. The trigger is angled in preference for a left handed shooter but works for a right handed shooter. Two additional firing pins are included.
Our Assessment: Manufacturing only 340 Shotguns a year at its height in the early 1980s, the Ljutic facility made these guns with pride and precision. Known for their futuristic “Space Guns”, Ljutic holds a very special place in American gunmaking history. This Ljutic Mono 43 Is in Great shape showing light wear from use.
