Our Assessment: Let’s face it. Wyatt Earp did not carry a buntline. It would have taken him 15 minutes to get it out of his holster. The story is that Western fiction writer Ned Buntline sent one of these ridiculous revolvers to eight of the Western characters about whom he wrote, Wyatt being one of them. After a time, all SAA revolvers with longer than 10” barrels became known as Buntline specials. Though impractical, these are very cool looking cowboy revolvers. This Uberti reproduction of the Colt Single Action Army Buntline special is in Excellent condition and is equipped with a hard to find detachable butt stock in Fine condition. Chambered in .45 Colt, this revolver/carbine is as pleasing to look at as it is fun to shoot.
