Sights / Optics: Each of eight barrel shrouds has a replaceable serrated ramp front sight insert. The rear sight is a square notch adjustable target sight pinned to the top strap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: Two grips are provided with this revolver. The installed grip is the original Dan Wesson one-piece checkered wood and DW medallions. There are a few handling and storage marks, scuffs and tiny nicks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, this grip is in about Fine condition.
The additional grip is a one peice black rubber checkered Pachmayr Presentation Grip. There are a few handling and storage marks but no notable defects. The checkering is sharp. There are no cuts ot tears. This grip is in Fine Plus condition

Bore Condition: All bores are bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in any of the bores. There is a bit of stubborn fouling in a few of the bores. In this writer’s opinion, each of these bores rates a 9 to 10 out 10.
Overall Condition: This handgun set retains about 96% of its metal finish. Much of the frame has taken on a plum hue. There are some scattered handling and storage marks on the barrel shrouds. There are some light scuffs and a few draglines. Notably, there are some light rubs and scuffs on some of the ribs. There is a spot of finish erosion on one of the 8” round barrel shrouds. There is some finish thinning near the muzzle of the 4″ round barrel shroud. There is a turn line on the cylinder. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver set is in about Fine to Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action pull is smooth and the single action is light and crisp. Most of the shrouds come with a barrel. The 8″ barrel will have to be used in both 8″ shrouds, as only one 8″ barrel is included with the pack. The cylinder has very little rotational play on all six chambers. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a brown hard case with a yellow padded interior, two barrel wrenches needed for disassembly as well as removal and replacement of the barrels, the extra barrels, extra shrouds and extra grips as described. There is an extra barrel shroud with the name “Bill Surman” engraved on the left side We are unsure who that is. There is an extra 6” barrel. Also included in the case is an EWK Arms muzzle brake and an EWK Arms muzzle brake wrench. These do not appear to go with the revolver but still will be a bonus for one lucky winner.
Our Assessment: This is a Dan Wesson Model 15-2 VH Pistol Pack, which was a revolutionary concept from Dan Wesson. Not since the original open-top percussion revolvers from Colt was it so easy for the user to change the barrel on a revolver. It allows for the conversion of the same revolver into a 2.5? compact, concealed carry piece to an 8? target revolver, stopping at 4? and 6? along the way as you choose. Additionally, this pistol pack comes with 2.5”, 4” 6” and 8” slab side barrel shrouds and barrels. This pistol pack comes with all of the tools that you need to change the barrels and shrouds. Though not as popular as some other manufacturers, Dan Wesson earned a reputation, which continues to this day, of fine quality craftsmanship and innovative design. This revolver and the pistol pack itself are in Fine to Fine Plus overall condition. It is rare to see a Dan Wesson complete pistol pack these days, let alone one that offers the slab side shrouds and barrels!
