Box, Paperwork & Accessories:

Our Assessment: For anyone looking for a quality target revolver, this gun just about sells itself. When it comes to revolvers Smith & Wessons of this era have never disappointed and this is certainly no exception. The K-Frame revolver is one of the most important innovations in Smith & Wesson history, firearms history for that matter, and was built specifically to handle the .38 S&W Special cartridge. Since its introduction in 1899, the K-Frame has been a favorite for military and police professionals as well as target shooters and enthusiasts. Today’s K-Frame is available in .22 LR, .22 Magnum, .357 Magnum and .38 S&W Special. Millions have been produced and they are known to take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’. Perhaps the “K” stands for King, because in terms of revolvers that is what the K-Frame is…royalty. Many K-Frame Smiths have received customization to tailor the gun to specific competitions, and if you’re into revolver competition odds are a Smith is on your hip if you’re serious about it. This one is by Alan Tanaka, a Southtern California based gunsmith who has been in the game since 1986 producing some of the finest semi-pistols and custom revolvers around. He was a competitive shooter that naturally got into gunsmithing and with his understanding of the competitor’s needs he has never looked back. His work is precise and he brings skill to the table from his days as a moldmaker/machinist, he is able to meet aerospace spec! Pretty damn impressive if you ask me… This one has received quite a few modifications and is all slicked up for use in PPC, or Police Pistol Combat, competition. A heavy barrel has been installed along with an Aristocrat full-length rib with a nice set of competition sights. The trigger pull has been smoothed out and lightened. This one has seen some use but has a great bore and mechanics, it ought to make for a fine competition wheel gun for one lucky winner and just oozes old-school cool! Please see our photos and good luck!

Some are hot, some are not, but thankfully most can be shot!
