Our Assessment: This is a beautifully sporterized Carl Gustafs Mauser. The barrel has been cut and recrowned to 16 1/2 inches and set in a custom checkered walnut Mannlicher stock. The stock is wonderfully shaped and has excellent grain. The metal has been given a full coverage scroll engraving and the reprofiled bolt handle has a deeply relief engraved floral motif. The bottom metal has been upgraded with a bust of an ealk on the floorplate and an American pronghorn on the trigger guard, both in gold. This is a well-executed sporter with beautiful features, it looks so nice we wonder why who ever did the work didn’t sign their name!!! This is perfect for adding to a sporting rifle collection but will also be a fun shooter for the 6.5 Swedish with its good bore! Please see our photos and good luck!
Some are hot, some are not, but thankfully most can be shot!
