Sights / Optics: The front sight is a rounded blade that is dovetailed, the rear sight is a “V” notch cut into the top of the revolver.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are three piece defined checkered wood. The grips show scratches, slight discoloration and light knicks that have diminished some of the checkering from handling and storage marks. The grips rate in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright, the rifling is defined. There is some erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, this bore rates a 8.5 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 41% of its metal finish. The metal shows scratches, scrapes, discoloration due to finish loss, and loss of finish on most leading edges. Small amounts of speckled erosion is present. The screw heads are used. The markings are somewhat defined, some are faded. Overall, this pistol rates in about Good Plus – Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. We have cleaned this firearm and performed a mechanic’s check but expect many will want to clean the firearm again depending on their standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: A leather holster is present with moderate brass tarnish around the button closure.
Our Assessment: This Belgian revolver is a Pre-Russian production / Pre-Soviet 1895 Nagant that is chambered in 7.62x38r. The revolver lacks markings of most other revolvers but is stamped on the left side of the receiver with “1896”. Included with this revolver is a leather holster aswell.
