Barrel Length: The Over/Under barrels are 32″, the Un-Single barrel is 34″, each with a tall ventilated rib. The barrels are ported for recoil reduction.
Choke: The top barrel of the Over/Under set is fixed-choked Full. The other barrels are threaded for Winchokes. The bottom barrel of the O/U set currently has Modified installed, the U-S barrel has Full. Extra Full, Improved Modified and Improved Cylinder are also included.
Sights / Optics: Each barrel set has a white bead in a base at the front of the rib and a smaller white mid-bead. The top of the ribs are serrated for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered walnut with a semi-beavertail forend for each barrel set, pistol grip, monte carlo comb, black rubber Kick-Eez buttpad on an adjustable plate, and black diamonds inlaid to the top of the wrist and bottom of the grip. The stocks have scattered light nicks and small scratches. There is thinning finish at the front edge of the Un-Single’s forend. There is one small but more notable mark at the left-front of the wrist at the bottom. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is well defined. The LOP measures 14 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad, 13 1/2″ to the back of the wood. The drop at the front of the comb is about 1 3/8?, drop at the back of the comb is about 1 1/4″, drop at heel is about 2 1/8?, these drops are consistent across both barrel sets. The pad has light wear but remains supple. Overall, the stocks are in Very Good-plus condition.
Type of Finish: The receiver and forend hardware have a coin finish and the barrels are blued. The ejectors are jeweled. The serial marked parts are matching on the receiver, barrels and forends.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bores. There is some stubborn fouling in the chokes. In this writer’s opinion, the bores rate 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. Most of the balance is wear on the barrels from the forends, concealed when assembled. Each barrel set has light wear and minor oxidation at the top-rear. The action shows minor operational wear. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun set is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly including ejectors. The barrels lock up with no play. It has a single selective inertially operated trigger. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes in a luggage case fit for the barrel sets, stocked receiver and with a lidded accessory compartment. The compartment has the additional chokes, a choke wrench with a Winchester branded wood handle, what appears to be a choke thread cleaning tool and some other cleaning accessories.
Our Assessment: The iconic Model 101 is a shotgun with legendary styling and handling and the unquestionable reliability you expect from Winchester firearms. The Diamond Grade features detailed engraving, white finished hardware, and wood stocks with beautiful grain. This shotgun is a Trap set, with a 32″ Over/Under barrel set and a 34″ Un-Single barrel. Each barrel set features white bead sights, porting, jeweled ejectors and a tall ventilated rib. The gun has a single selective trigger and the monte carlo buttstock has been equipped with a Kick-Eez buttpad mounted on an adjustable plate. Intriguingly, the top barrel of the O/U set is fixed-choked Full, while the other barrels are threaded for Winchokes with a nice variety of chokes included from Extra Full to Improved Cylinder.
The gun is in Fine condition, showing wear consistent with its intended use, most in the wood. It comes in a nice custom case for storage and transport.
