Barrel Length: The barrel is 16 ½” in length and has a recessed target crown.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a white bead that is dovetailed into a serrated ramp base that is screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is an aperture sight that is screwed to a base on that is mounted on the receiver. The top of the receiver has two sets of two drilled, tapped and filled holes for scope mounts.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered matte black synthetic. The buttstock has a pistol grip, a straight comb and a black solid rubber recoil pad marked “Remington”. There are some handling marks and scuffs but no chips or cracks. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures 13 7/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The pad shows very light handling marks but no cuts or tears. The recoil pad is still pliable on its edges and is in about Excellent condition. The stock is in about Fine Plus condition.
Type of Finish: The rifle has a matte black finish with a matte black alloy trigger guard.
Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some stubborn fouling in the grooves. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates a 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some handling marks, scuffs and rubs. The screws are sharp and the markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a single magazine, its serial matching factory box, factory paperwork, a Picatinny rail and a bronze bore brush.
Our Assessment: Chambered in .308 Winchester, this pump action carbine is very versatile and can be used for hunting everything from varmints to medium sized North American game animals. Still, you might find that with is 16 ½” barrel and fast pump action that it is outstanding for use on deer in the woods or for hunting wild pigs where a fast shooting hard hitting rifle is often required. This rifle is in Fine Plus condition and comes with its original factory box and paperwork. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. This 7600 Police pump action carbine has a matte black finish and a synthetic stock that should make in almost impervious to the elements. Take this great looking rifle out on your next hunt or patrol, and you will not only be ready for two-legged and four legged varmints, but will also be the envy of your shooting buddies and partners for finding a well-made rifle like this one in nearly new condition.
