The action shows light operational wear including a thin turn-line on the cylinder. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks in each position with minor play. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a cardboard Colt sleeve with serial-matching label. Two-piece styrofoam inserts are included, but they are notably smaller than the cardboard sleeve.
Our Assessment: Colt introduced the Anaconda built on a new, heavy “AA” frame to compete with the Ruger Redhawk and S&W Model 29 revolvers. It was the largest of the “Seven Serpents”, able to be chambered for .44 Magnum and .45 Colt. This revolver’s adjustable sights will make it suitable for target shooting, but it would also be a great revolver for an avid handgun hunter. It is also a nice example for a Colt snake gun colletor to add to the pit. Please see our photos and good luck!
