Markings: The side plates are marked “CAESAR / GUERINI”, amid stunning scroll and floral relief engraving, seen on the metal components of the receiver and forend bracket. The underside of the receiver is marked “MAXUM”. The top tang is marked with the serial number. The bottom tang is marked “Made in Italy” and “Bottega C. Giovanelli”.
The left side of the upper barrel is “WARNING: read your owner’s manual before use” and “CAESAR GUERINI / Made in Italy”. The left of each barrel is marked with proofs. The right of the top barrel is marked “12 ga. 70mm 2 3/4 chamber” and “CAESAR GUERINI USA Cambridge, MD”. The bottom of the monoblock is marked “D / 089”, with the boxed “CI” date code, with the serial number, and proofs.
Barrel Length: 32? Vent Rib
Choke: The barrels are threaded and installed with Briley CG Maxis Spectrum extended chokes, Light Full over Modified.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a white bead in a metal base, screwed into the ventilated rib near the muzzle with a second smaller mid-rib metal bead; the top of the rib is finely checkered for glare reduction with a smooth shallow center channel.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a beautiful two-piece checkered Turkish walnut with a pistol grip with a right-hand palm swell, adjustable comb, and black rubber buttpad. There are a few scuffs that have lightly worn the finish, they are mostly located on the forend. There are a few light marks on the belly of the buttstock. There are some scattered light handling marks. The checkering is strong. The LOP is 14 3/4? from the front of the trigger to the rear of the pad. The Guerini pad has some scattered light wear from normal use. The drop at comb is 1 5/8″, at Monte Carlo 1 7/8″, and at heel 2 1/2″. Overall, the stocks rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are all bright. There are a few areas of stubborn fouling but there is no erosion. In my opinion, these four bores rate 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some scattered light handling marks and there is faint operational wear, there are no major defects. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun has an upper tang mounted safety & barrel selector, it does not set automatically but functions correctly when manually set. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Maxum Impact Sporting is truly a stunning over/under shotgun. The deep relief gothic scroll hand finished engraving on the receiver, side plates, and fore-end assembly make this sporting gun unique among others on the clays course. The handwork and design are from the studios of the world renowned Italian engraving house, Bottega Incisioni C. Giovanelli. The coin finish frame is painstakingly hand polished. Balancing the beauty of the deeply sculpted engraving is a deluxe grade of Turkish walnut, featuring precision cut 26 lines-per-inch checkering and a natural oil finish, hand rubbed to a sheen that enhances the highly figured wood grain. This one looks like it has hardly seen any use over the last decade and looks amazing. The engraving and stocks are world class, a true piece of art for collection!!
