Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Weatherby / 300 Magnum”. The left side of the receiver is marked “Mark V / U.S. Patents Pending” and “Weatherby”. The right side of the receiver is marked “34428”. The right side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN W-GERMANY”.

Sights / Optics: No provisions for open sights are present. A Weatherby Variable 2 3/4X to 10X scope is set into a two piece quick release base screwed on to the top of the receiver. The scope is marked “Weatherby Variable / 2 3/4X to 10X”. The power ring is calibrated from 2 ¾” to 10. The optics feature a crosshair reticle on the 2nd focal plane. Both the windage and elevation adjustment screws are on the top of the scope. A few handling marks are visible on the body of the scope. The optics are clear and the power ring moves tightly and smoothly. The scope rates in Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The one piece walnut stock has a high gloss finish, skip line checkering a pistol grip, Monte Carlo comb and a right handed cheek piece. A rosewood grip cap with blond spacer and plastic diamond is present on the grip and the beavertail forend has a rosewood cap with a blond spacer. Sling swivel studs are mounted at the butt and on the forend. Minor crazing in the finish is visible on the right side of the forend forward of the checkering. Only a few shallow marks are visible on the stock. The LOP measures 13 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the vented rubber recoil pad, which sports a Weatherby logo and a stippled rear surface. Wear is evident on the rear face and finish loss is apparent around the edges of the recoil pad. The rubber is quite stiff and the pad rates in about Good condition. The stock rates in about Fine to Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. Our bore gauge measures an M.E. of .5.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. Little evidence of use is visible. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
