Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with an AMT logo and “AUTOMAG III / .30 CARBINE”. The left side of the frame is marked “Irwindale, CA” and an AMT logo. The right side of the slide is marked “STAINLESS STEEL / MADE IN U.S.A. / PAT PENDING” and “CAUTION / CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED! / READ INSTRUCTION MANUAL / BEFORE HANDLING THIS FIREARM!”. The right side of the frame is marked “A07539”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blue serrated ramped blade with a white dot fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notched two white dot leaf pinned to the slide adjustable for windage and elevation.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece grooved plastic grips exhibit only minor evidence of use and rate in about Excellent overall condition.
Type of Finish: Stainless.
Finish Originality: Factory Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. Only minor marks are visible with a couple shallow abrasions present on the back strap. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol is housed in an original AMT box. The box is in Very Good condition, exhibiting handling marks and a couple spots of surface loss. A label on the right side of the lid is marked “AUTOMAG III” AND “.30 CARBINE”. An instruction manual is included in the box in Fine condition. Two 8 round magazines are present, both in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: This AMT AutoMag III is chambered .30 Carbine, which was developed for the M1 Carbine just before WWII. The .30 Carbine round is a light rifle caliber, so it could be expected to feel like a heavy pistol round. This Automag III can handle it, being a beefy pistol with a stainless steel finish. The Automag III was designed by Harry Sanford, who developed the original Automag. This pistol is in Excellent condition, exhibiting only minor marks and is equipped with two 8 round magazine..
