Sights / Optics: The sights are Novak night sights. With a single tritium lamp in the blade front sight and two lamps in the Novak’s swept square-notch rear sight. Both sights are dovetailed to the slide, the rear sight is screw-set. The lamps have dimmed. The top of the slide is serrated for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black synthetic scales. There is no notable wear or damage to the grips, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There is some finish loss on the leading edges and light operational wear. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly with no play between slide and frame at the rear. The barrel has no play when in battery. The trigger is very crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a green nylon zip-up Nighthawk Custom Bulldog branded case with an assortment of factory paperwork including manual, test shell casing and a total of three Nighthawk Custom 8-round magazines. The case has scattered light storage wear, in about Fine-Excellent condition. The magazines have light operational wear with intact feed lips and strong springs, in about Fine-plus condition.
Our Assessment: Nighthawk Custom is among a small group of the best manufacturers of custom and semi-custom 1911s in the world including Wilson Combat, Ed Brown and Les Baer. This pistol is an excellent example of why they have earned this reputation. Nighthawk has combined the most desired upgrades including front and back strap checkering, extended beavertail grip safety, beveled magazine well, night sights and skeletonized hammer and trigger with their legendary craftsmanship quality. Quality that will make this an excellent target pistol as well as a defensive pistol to which you can trust your life. This pistol is in Fine condition, showing signs of light, responsible use and comes with just about everything it would brand-new.
