The wood shows scattered scuffs and small scratches. The LOP measures 13 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stock rates in about Very Good Plus to Fine overall condition. It would rate higher if the recoil pad were replaced.

Type of Finish: Parkerized

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The lands are bright. The grooves are semi bright and the rifling is deep. There is light fouling in the grooves which should clean up some. There is no erosion.
In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates 9 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The metal shows scuffs and handling marks. The action shows operational wear. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The rifle comes in its original shipping box.
The rifle comes with (4) four 20 round magazines. The bottom of each of the 4 steel magazines is marked “P.B.B.M59”. The magazines appear to function correctly but the followers are sticking a bit due to long term storage. They should break in.
The 20 round magazines are NOT available to residents of California or any other state with magazine capacity restrictions.

Our Assessment: This rare Beretta BM 62 is a shorter civilian version of the Italian BM 59. It is basically an Italian Tanker Garand in .308 Winchester. The parkerized finish on the metal is in great shape and so is the wood. The rifle has a strong bore and has a faux flash hider installed. It comes with four 20 round magazines so should keep you smiling out at the range. There were only about 2000 of BM 62 rifles produced, so this one will add nicely to your collection.

…Now go shoot something!
