Markings: The left of the slide is marked “45 ACP”, the right is marked “BAER / Custom”. The top of the chamber is marked “BAER 45 MATCH”. The right of the frame is marked “LES BAER CUSTOM / LE CLAIRE IA USA / LB39800”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated blade dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a Les Baer branded Bo-Mar style square notch adjustable for windage and elevation dovetailed to the rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered black and gray G-10 VZ Grips with a thumb relief cut. There are some scattered light handling marks. There are no major defects. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. In my opinion, this bore is a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is light handling and minor operational wear. There are no major defects. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. The slide has almost no play to the frame but move smoothly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: Since 1991, Les Baer has been one of the best custom and semi-custom 1911 makers in the world. With famously tight and accurate builds, they continue to hold their place today as a premier gunmaker. This pistol, a Premier II, is a great example of why. With its crisp trigger, tight slide-frame fit, and premium features such as front and rear slide serrations, adjustable target sights, skeletonized hammer and trigger, frontstrap checkering, extended ambidextrous safety and extended beavertail grip safety, this is going to make a great 1911 for target shooting or for carry. It is set off by a nice pair of CZ Grips checkered G-10 grips which give the shooter good purchase on the gun while remaining pleasing to the eye and without being overly aggressive on the skin of your hands.
