Our Assessment: In 2001, S&W introduced the Model 610-2 10mm ‘Classic’, which were marked “610 Classic” on the barrels. This Model 610-2 was manufactured at that time and has all the characteristic of the ‘610 Classic’ but is not marked as such. Chambered in .40 S&W and able to fire 10mm Auto with half moon clips, this Model 610-2 is in Fine condition, exhibiting only shallow marks and retaining about 97% of its metal finish. This is a beefy revolver with an unfluted cylinder, .500” target hammer, .400” smooth target trigger and Hogue target grips. This is a very nice, durable and mechanically tight target pistol.
