Markings: The bottom of the dust cover is marked “STI INTERNATIONAL / GEORGETOWN, TX USA”. The top of the chamber is marked “45 ACP”. The right side of the frame is marked “2011” and with the serial number. The right side of the slide is marked with the STI Texas logo.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a red fiber optic insert, it is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a Heinie serrated square notch sight dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight has two set screws and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight has a vertical front face for slide racking.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The trigger guard and grip frame are one piece, made of high-strength synthetic material, in black, with a double diamond checkered pattern and STI logos. There are some scattered light marks, there are no major defects. The checkering is mostly strong. The grips rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is strong. There is no erosion. In my opinion, this bore is a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is a bit of finish wear on the front corners of the slide. There are some light handling marks. The grip screws are undamaged and the markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: This pistol has ambidextrous thumb safeties, an adjustable trigger, crisp trigger, short reset, strong mainspring, skeletonized hammer & trigger, the grip safety has a rise to index one’s palm correctly each time. The action works correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included are an 11-round magazine, 14-round magazine, paperwork including the manual, and a serial matching case. No magazines will be included if prohibited by your local laws.
Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. The design is one of the most beloved and has gone through many design changes such as modular frames like this Hex Tactical Double Stack 4.0 from STI. The Tactical 4.0 was introduced in 2016 in 9mm and .45 ACP and features a red fiber optic front sight, Heinie rear sight, a 2011 double stack modular grip, 4.0” barrel, railed frame, the recoil master system, skeletonized hammer & trigger, ambidextrous safeties, an indexing bump beavertail safety, tri-top slide, and forward & rear hexagonal slide milling. This one has hardly any use but and it is in Excellent condition. This would make a great shooter, concealed carry gun, or just a simple plinker for those who only want the best, so considering dropping a bid on this Hex Tac 4.0!
