Markings: The left of the barrel at the chamber is marked “Blaser / R8”, “Germany/DE”, “R/118780”, “Cal. .300 Win. Mag.”, “MA”, “BG” date code and Ulm antler proof. The left of the receiver/chassis assembly is marked “MADE BY BLASER GERMANY/DE Blaser USA San Antonio, TX” on the left side and “RR002903 Warning: Read owners manual before use!” on the right. The bolt head is marked with proofs.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for irons sights. The top of the barrel is grooved for a proprietary Blaser scope mount.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece textured dark forest green polymer stock with black thermo-elastic inlays pistol grip with palm swells, straight comb, sling studs, and a Blaser black rubber buttpad. There are a few scattered light handling marks. There are no major defects. The LOP is 14 1/2? from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The pad has some light wear at the heel. Overall, the stocks are in about Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. In my opinion, this bore is a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. There is no bolt or internal magazine. The balance of finish shows only the lightest of handling and storage marks. There is no notable wear or damage. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: No internal magazine is included, but the action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None. There is no internal magazine included.
Our Assessment: The Blaser Model R8 rifles are known for their ease of barrel interchangeability and their sub minute of angle accuracy. They have nice features for a hunting rifle such as a floating barrel and a safety that locks both the bolt and firing pin. This model was built in 2012 and is a Professional model with a dark forest green stock with inlaid rubber grip panels. This one is chambered in .204 Ruger and will be a great varmint or long range shooting rifle once you get an internal magazine installed which should not be hard to come by.
