Overall Condition: There are just tell-tale swirl marks and minor nicks scattered about the stainless steel. The matte surfaces of the vent ribs have light nicks and scuffs throughout. The screw heads are very lightly toolmarked with strong sockets. The markings across all parts are clear. Overall, this revolver is in Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action pull is smooth and the single action is light and crisp. The cylinder has very little rotational play on all six chambers, and barely perceptible front-to-rear play. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This 715-V will ship in its original, serial-matching briefcase, and includes the previosuly mentioned barrels, a secondary ergonomic grip, a tool kit, and various factory paperwork including the manual.

Our Assessment: From danwessonfirearms.com: “The history of Dan Wesson firearms began in 1852 when Daniel B. Wesson’s great-grandfather, D. B. Wesson, co-founded Smith & Wesson. One-hundred years later, carrying on the family heritage of firearms innovation, Dan Wesson founded Wesson Firearms Co., Inc in 1968. With a goal of making the world’s best revolver straight out of the box and a reputation for perfectionism, Wesson developed the Model 12, .357 Magnum. Soon after, Dan Wesson produced the model 15 and model 715, which revolutionized the world of revolvers with their switch barrel design and ability for consumers to change barrel lengths from their own home.” This is the legendary Dan Wesson Model 715-V, a .357 Magnum revolver with a unique replaceable barrels. This exampled is blessed by the inclusion (these sets are often incomlpete) of all its various barrels—2 1/2″, 4″, 6″ and 8″ are included. This makes the revolver an extremely versatile firearm which can fill just about any role you could ask of it. This example is in Fine-plus condition with very light finish and operational wear and great bores all around. With all the barrels included and adjustable sights, this revolver will make for everything from a great target shooter to a perfect carry gun. Now, ready, aim, bid!
