The rear sight is a square notch in a 1-3/16” wide target face, on top of an adjustable base with windage and elevation screws. The sight is machined into the top of the receiver. The pistol’s sight base measures approximately 8-1/4” from the back of the front sight to the front of the rear sight.

The right side of the grip is form-fit and textured for grip. The flat portions of the grip display chatter marks on the left side, with scuffs and light scratches throughout. The grip has a crack at the upper tang, as photographed. The grips rate in about Very Good overall condition given the crack.

Type of Finish: The barrel shroud, magazine and receiver are polished blue. The barrel weight and trigger frame are matte black.

Finish Originality: All Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is worn but cleanly defined. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are scuffs, small nicks and scratches in sparse areas. There is wear on some of the interacting metal components. The screw heads are extremely lightly tooled and highly serviceable as photographed. The markings are sharp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Very Good to Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The pistol is cocked by gripping two serrated plates on the sides of the pistol. The magazine can be ejected vertically with the push of a button. The adjustable trigger breaks at about 3 lbs, 13oz. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: One 5 round magazine is provided. It displays wear but functions correctly and is in about Fine condition.

Our Assessment: This is an Olympic target pistol chambered in .32 Wadcutter. The pistol retains a great deal of metal finish, with only minor chatter marks, scratches and a small crack in the stocks. Please see our photographs, the grips are well built and adjustable. The pistol has a top-loading, vertically ejecting five round magazine and a very strong action. According to the stickers, there is a chance this pistol participated in some historical matches. We cannot verify whether or not this pistol actually went to the International competitions, but what is certain is that the bore remains highly shootable with some wear to the rifling but with full length brightness. From http://bullshooter.blogspot.com/2006/06/fas-semi-autos.html: “The most reliable of all the FAS autos, the only advice I have specific to this model is related to the reloads you may develop. In my experience it is a waste of time trying to get a decent group out of a solid base wadcutter. It seems hollow based are the best option for accuracy.” This model pistol has been used in the Olympics and international target shooting competitions. This specific item should provide comfortable, accurate shooting and looks great, to boot!
