Markings: The right side of the chamber is marked with “SIG SAUER”, the serial number, proofs, and the date code. The left side of the chamber is marked “Cal. .308 Win. / MADE IN GERMANY”. The left side of the receiver is marked “SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER – NH”, with the serial number, and “SIG SAUER SSG 3000”. The bott is marked with “DE Y33427” and proofs.
Barrel Length: 24″, 27″ to Muzzle Brake
Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver has an integral rail. The rail is installed with a base with integral rings holding a Leupold VX-6 7-42×56 scope. The scope has a few light handling marks no major defects. The scope has a TMOA Plus reticle and the glass is clear. The scope rates in about Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is textured black synthetic with a pistol grip, adjustable comb height, sling stud at the rear, two sling studs on the forend, four quick detach sling mounts, and black rubber buttpad. The texturing is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 14? from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad and 12 3/8″ to the back of the black polymer. The stock has spacers for LOP adjustment. The pad has no notable wear or damage. Overall, the stock is in about Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There are a couple of small spots of erosion, mostly towards the midsection. In my opinion, this bore is a 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few light spots of thinning on the barrel. There are some rubs and scuffs. The receiver has some spots of thinning and a few little marks through the finish, mostly around the ejection port. There are some scattered light handling marks. There are operational marks. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is the previously described Lupold scope and a Harris S25 bipod.
Our Assessment: The Sig Sauer SSG 3000 was developed as a sniper system for military and law enforcement use. With its integral rail, six locking lug bolt, durable adjustable stock, heavy barrel, and of course Sig Sauer go-to-war quality, it s a rifle that will perform in the harshest conditions. As such, it has seen use in numerous units including the South Korean marines, Egyptian special forces, Slovakian special police, and the Columbian police & army to name a few. This one is in Fine Plus condition and it doesn’t look like it has seen too much use. This model is no longer produced and would be a great opportunity for anyone who always wanted an SSG but hasn’t managed to get their hands on one. Please see our photos and good luck!
