Our Assessment: This is a Westley Richards & Co. Droplock Side by Side Single-Selective Trigger Shotgun that was made between 1925-1954. Westley Richards & Co. is a prestigious British arms maker that was established in 1812 and is still in operation today. The company has received a number of accolades including Royal Warrants from the British Crown, the first was issued by Prince Albert in 1840, and the company received a Royal Warrant from the Shah of Iran. This gun has a worn butt-plate and some light blemishes on its metal surfaces but the shotgun remains aesthetically pleasing and has solid mechanics. This is a wonderful option for fans of historical firearms. Good luck on your bid!
