Our Assessment: This H&K Model 940 is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and has receptacles for H&K scope mounts (not included). Importation of these rifles ceased 26 years ago and finding one in nice condition is becoming less common. The Model 940 has a robust roller-delayed semi-automatic similar to paramilitary rifles, but in a sporting stock. Deer season is approaching; this would be a great gun to hunt with! Please see our photos and good luck!
