Markings: The top of the right barrel is marked “WINDSOR I – 10 GA – 3 ½” MAG.”. The top of the left barrel is marked “Churchill BY KASSNAR”. The barrel flats have the Zabala Hermanos logo, gauge and barrel data, serial number, date code, inspection and proof marks. The water table has the serial number, “10-89” in ovals, proof marks and Zabala Hermanos logo. The receiver, action lever, top tang, trigger guard and rear of the barrels have a fine scroll engraving pattern. The forend iron and wood are marked “865”. The underside of the receiver is marked “MADE IN SPAIN”.

Choke: Both barrels are threaded for choke tubes. Currently, they are both installed with choke tubes measuring approximately .755, correlating to a Modified choke on both barrels. No other choke tubes are included with this shotgun.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a blade with a rear-facing red bead fixed to the barrel rib above the muzzles. There is a white mid-bead on the barrel rib. The barrel rib is serrated to help reduce glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece wood featuring a checkered beavertail forend, a checkered semi-pistol grip, a straight comb and a red Kick Eez buttpad. The forend has a gash that was repaired moderately. The buttstock has light to moderate nicks, scratches and scuffs scattered throughout. There are a few dings in the grip checkering on the right side. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 1/4” and 13 3/8” from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the buttpad. There is some minor discoloration around the edges of the buttpad and some scuffing at the heel. Drop at comb is 1 1/2”, drop at heel is 2 1/2”. Cast is neutral. The stocks are in Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are mostly bright. There is some light erosion in both bores.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some small patches of oxidative discoloration on the receiver. The barrel has some light scratches and rub wear. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrel lockup is tight with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is a tank of a Zabala Hermanos double-barrel shotgun imported Kassnar. The bluing is rich and a lot of the original finish is retained. The lockup is solid and the bores are bright with only minor wear. Side by side shotguns never go out of style and this one will be a great addition to your arsenal if you’re looking for a 10 gauge magnum for the field.
