Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: None.
Our Assessment: Colt introduced the Anaconda built on a new, heavy “AA” frame to compete with the Ruger Redhawk and S&W Model 29 revolvers. Our impression is that the Anaconda probably offers a smoother double action pull than the Ruger and is more rugged than the S&W. This revolver is great for target shooting as well as handgun hunting. Despite being nearly 150 years old, modern loadings of the .45 Colt cartridge are quite stout and suitable for a variety of game animals. Though more than suitable for a range of shooting purposes, with its high condition, Colt collectors will also see interest in this revolver, especially with its original box. Please see our photos and good luck!
