Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “H&R”, ““ULTRA” / SPORTSMAN” and “NO. 777”. The top of the barrel is marked “HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON ARMS CO. / WORCESTER, MASS., U.S.A.”. The right side of the barrel is marked “22 LONG RIFLE CTG.”. The front strap of the grip is marked with the serial number “U866”.
Barrel Length: 6”, Slab side
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade set screwed into a slot above the muzzle. The rear sight is a square-notch in an adjustable mount integral to the top latch.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is one-piece checkered wood with smooth borders. There are a few light nicks around the smooth borders. The checkering is distinct. There are no chips or cracks. The grip is in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is some operational wear on the hammer and light handling marks scattered throughout. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks in each position with barely perceptible play. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Harrington & Richardson Model 777 “Ultra Sportsman” revolvers had a very limited run in only about a year. They have a reputation for being accurate and reliable. This particular revolver is in remarkable condition for a pistol of its vintage. Many a sportsman and shooter learned their skills on revolvers such as these. This one is in such nice condition that it is like stepping into the past when these could be purchased at the local “Western Auto” or hardware store, or bought over- the- counter. Definitely a rare opportunity for any H&R collector. This revolver will also make a great Christmas present for that new shooter. Do NOT miss out. Good luck in your bidding!
