Markings: The left side of the shank is marked “Cal. 7mm Rem. Mag. / MADE IN GERMANY. The right side of the barrel is marked with the J. P. Sauer & Sohn logo, “N35680”, proofs, and the date code. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “N35680”, the J. P. Sauer & Sohn logo, “SAUER 202”, and “SIGARMS INC. / EXETER-NH”.
Barrel Length: 26″
Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade on a base that is screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch base dovetailed into an island screwed to the barrel. The top of the receiver is installed with a pair of bases and rings holding a Swarovski Z3 3-10×42 scope. The scope has a few scattered light marks. There are no major defects. The scope has a BRX reticle reticle and the glass is clear. The scope rates in about Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a two-piece checkered walnut set with a pistol grip with right-side palm swell, fluted monte carlo comb, scahnabel tip, and a solid black rubber Sauer recoil pad. There is a QD sling swivel hole in the belly and in the nose of the forend. There are a few minor marks and soft compressions, the most noticeable are on the bottom by the magazine release and on the belly. There is light handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures 13 7/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad. The pad has some minor wear. Overall, the stock is in Fine-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 98% of its finish. There are a couple faint rubs on the barrel at the front. There are a few light handling marks. The bolt handle has a faint plum hue. There are some scattered light handling marks and there is light opreational wear. The markings are clear. The screw sockets are sharp. Overall, the rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: Included is a 3-round magazine, the Swarovski scope, and a case.
Our Assessment: This Sauer 202 rifle was produced by the company from 1993-2015 and replaced the earlier Model 200. It was rather popular with consumers as it featured a modular design with interchangeable barrels, this is one of the magnum receivers and it can convert to seven calibers. The 202 was chambered for many cartridges, and this example is chambered for 7mm Remington Magnum, making for a good overall hunting and sporting rifle. This one has a round bolt knob as opposed to the spoonhandle, a steel receiver, and a 26″ barrel. In overall Excellent condition, this 202 has a fine bore and is mechanically sound. The Supreme Lux Magnum was only made from 1994 to 2004 before it was discontinued so this rifle will serve any Sig collector or passionate target shooter well. Please see our photos and good luck!
