Our Assessment: The Detonics Combat Master series was one of the first small 1911 style ‘pocket pistols’. The MK VII is a rare model with the reputation of having been designed for the CIA. Definitely a close combat weapon, the MK VII has no sights, insuring it can be produced from a pocket without snagging. This MK VII is in Excellent condition, the mechanics are tight and it retains about 98% of its original stainless steel finish. It is chambered in .45ACP, giving it plenty of stopping power in a small package. These little pistols don’t come up for sale very often, so this is an unusual chance to acquire a rare pistol with with a cool history. Please see our photos and good luck!
