Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with “PB” in an oval, “MOD. 21A–.22 LR”, and “MADE IN USA”. The right side of the slide is marked “MADE BERETTA USA CORP., ACKK, MD”. The left grip panel is marked with “PB” in an oval and the right is marked with the Beretta three arrow logo.

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade integral to the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch integral to the slide.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth walnut panels, with the magazine release recessed into the left panel. Both panels have minor nicks and scuffs with the left panel having more distinct drag lines and nicks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Very Good-plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is well-defined. There is no erosion, but a bit of very minor stubborn fouling is evident on the lands.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. Light nicks and minor dings are evident throughout the slide. The slide flats have more obvious light nicks and scuffs and the edges have intermittent dings into the metal. The frame has scattered minor nicks and a few spots of minor surface oxidation are evident on the grip frame. The screws have light tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this handgun is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The tip-up barrel releases easily and locks up with no play. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This Beretta Model 21A is a semi-automatic compact tip-up pistol chambered for .22 LR rounds. An ideal conceal carry pistol, the 21A’s compact design and Beretta’s quality build make for a pistol that will serve the winner for years to come! Mechanically the handgun remains sound.
