Markings: The left of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER 1911”. The right of the frame is marked “SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER-NH-USA” and the right of the dust cover is marked with the serial number. The barrel is marked “.45 AUTO / SIG SAUER”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a single tritium lamp. The rear sight is a Novaks lo-mount square notch with two tritium lamps. Both sights are dovetailed to the slide and the rear sight also has a set screw. The lamps are bright and easily acquireable in low light.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are Hogue black G10 Piranha grips with SIG logos. The texturing is sharp. There are no cracks or chips. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is some finish loss on the leading edges of the slide and frame. There are light handling marks and faint operational wear. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has little play to the frame. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Sig has long been a quality handgun manufacturer, with their P-series pistols some of the most popular on the market. Still, even Sig knows that there’s something timeless about the 1911. This is their take on the compact 1911, with a series ’80 firing pin block, and external extractor. This pistol features a railed frame, commander length slide, front and rear slide serrations, and the sleek modernized lines Sig 1911s are known for combined with the timless ergonomics and trigger pull. Finished with a custom Flat Dark Earth PVD finish, the Scorpion Carry stands out from the crowd. Extremely durable and wear resistant, the physical vapor deposition is corrosion resistant, and provides a stunning look to Scorpion variants. Rounding out the look, each Scorpion is fitted with dark Piranha textured G-10 grips and dark controls. Forward cocking serrations and SIGLITE night sights complete the package. It is in Excellent condition with a great bore and comes with two magazines to get you started.
