Markings: The right side of the receiver is marked “BERETTA”, “Made in Italy / Patented”, and “AA253431”. The left side of the receiver is marked “AL 391 Teknys – 20 ga. / BERETTA” and has a stylized three arrow logo. The underside of the receiver is marked with the “BT” date code and proofs. Both sides of the receiver have a green enamel inlay with a three arrow logo and engraved waterfowl scenes. The left side of the barrel is marked “BERETTA – GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY / 20 GA 3” – 28””. The right side of the barrel is marked with the Beretta three line warning address. The bottom of the barrel is marked “312001”. The right portion of the barrel concealed by the forent is marked “ALLOYED CR. MO. QUENCHED HIGH TENSILE STEEL”, “AB253442”, the “BT” date code next to two proof marks, and other specification markings.

Choke: Currently Installed is a Skeet choke. Also included are two Improved Cylinders, Improved Modified, and Full.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a red fiber optic beaded blade at the muzzle on a ventilated rib. The rib is checkered to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered wood with a pistol grip and adjustable straight comb. There is a green enamel inlay on both sides of the wrist. There are some draglines and compressions on either side of the stock. There is a small white scuff on the belly. There are also some faint marks throughout the forearm. The checkering is generally sharp with some lightly compressed checkers on the left side of the grip. The LOP measures 14 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber butt pad. The pad has some light wear from use. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are light streaks of finish loss on the sides of the barrel from contact with the forearm as well as a light streak on the bottom of the barrel. There are a couple of light scratches on the sides of the receiver. The pinheads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine-Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included are a blue hard case with chokes, a Beretta buttpad in Excellent condition, and paperwork including the manual.
Our Assessment: The Beretta AL391 Teknys is a dependable semi-automatic shotgun with a self-regulating gas system that can handle a range of loads from light target loads to heavy hunting loads. The beautiful wood and metal finish of this shotgun harken back to the days of old but the design and craftsmanship are all modern.
