Markings: The left of the top barrel is marked “FAIR MARCHENO (BS) MADE IN ITALY”, the right “NEW ENGLAND ARMS CO. KITTERY POINT. ME USA”. The left sides of the barrels have Italian proof/inspection marks under the stock line. The left of the monoblock is marked “18/70”, the bottom with “100542”, Italian proofs, and “BF” date code. The top of the forend iron is marked “100542”, the inside of the forend with “542”. The top tang is marked “100542”, the water table has Italian proofs. The bottom of the receiver is marked “N.E.A. / SRC 702” in gold. There are gold borders and scrolls on the receiver, lock plates, trigger guard, and forend iron.

Sights / Optics: There is a brass bead at the front of the rib. The top of the rib is serrated for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with schnabel forend, straight wrist, straight comb and black rubber Old English buttpad with plastic heel-cap. The stocks have a few scattered minor nicks and scuffs. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 1/8″ and 13 1/4″ from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the buttpad. The plate has minor wear. Drop at comb is approximately 1 5/8″, drop at comb 2 1/8″. Overall, the stocks are in Fine-plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bores.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few minor marks, most notable on the bottom of the trigger guard. The action has faint operational wear. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up with no play to the receiver. The safety engages automatically when the action is opened. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is an SRC 702 from famed Italian gunmaker Isidoro Rizzini. A stylish and attractive sidelock over-under chambered for 2 3/4″ 28 gauge shells, this will be a great gun for the discerning hunter or to challenge yourself on the clays range.
