Our Assessment: This is a Walther P88 that was manufactured in 1989. This pistol had a relatively short production run with only approximately 10,000 made from 1987 until 1992. It was introduced in the United States military trials in the early 80’s and never caught on after that. They are of high quality and were expensive for their time. The slide has a striking resemblance to that of the Browning Hi-Power. This is a beautiful example that is in about Fine-Excellent overall condition with 98% of its finish remaining. It’s obvious this pistol never saw much use. This one is a perfect candidate for a Walther collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
